Background and Discussion:

The Pine Trails Subdivision Drainage Improvements project is located in Northeast Harris County in Precinct 2. The scope of work for this utility agreement includes Harris County cutting, capping, and removing abandoned pipelines owned by 7Green in order to facilitate ditch restoration. This agreement allows Harris County to work within the easement and perform said work as necessary to complete the planned drainage improvements.

Expected Impact:

This project generally seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. This utility agreement specifically will allow Harris County to remove obstacles and regrade the ditches to direct flow from the subdivision into the channel. No impact to project schedule or staffing anticipated.

Alternative Options:

Alternative options would include redesign of the project to avoid the pipelines or abandonment of the project.
