Background and Discussion:

The project includes the construction of approximately 8677 LF replacing existing 6' trail to 8' wide asphalt Hike and Bike Trail with Concrete. The project limits are from Scarsdale Blvd to Blackhawk Blvd. A section of proposed Trail close to Blackhawk Blvd crosses ExxonMobil easement, Harris County requested for letter of no Objection. ExxonMobil has agreed for the construction and provided a Right-of-Way Consent Agreement with terms and conditions mentioned.

Expected Impact:

This action allows the continuation of the contracted work and provides bikers a continuous trail from Scarsdale Blvd to Blackhawk Blvd.

Alternative Options:

If no action is taken, the project may experience construction delays, there will be a trail gap at the utility easement, and the intended objective will not be achieved.

Alignment with Goal(s):

_ Justice and Safety

_ Economic Opportunity

_ Housing

_ Public Health

X Transportation

_ Flooding

_ Environment
