Background and Discussion:
Prior to the closeout of this grant award, the Department of Justice extended the grant period of performance to August 31, 2024. The purpose was to allow the Sheriff’s Office an opportunity to utilize the remaining grant funds for three of the five grant awarded positions.
Expected Impact:
This amendment will provide additional time so that the Sheriff’s Office can spend all of the remaining grant funds.
Alternative Options:
The U.S. Department of Justice has extended the grant award period. Acceptance of this modification is necessary in order to fully utilize the grant funds awarded.
