Background and Discussion:
On October 16, 2025, Harris County Commissioners Court approved the allocation of $181,105 in General Funds. Additionally, Commissioners Court approved resolutions on October 16, 2025, and April 16, 2026, to provide grants to eligible providers for the FY 2027 Texans Feeding Texans Home-Delivered Meal program.
The providers are listed below:
1. Bay Area Meals on Wheels, Inc. in the amount of $1,934.
2. Baytown Meals on Wheels in the amount of $12,039.
3. Evelyn Rubenstein Jewish Community Center of Houston in the amount of $2,936.
4. Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston in the amount of $109,040.00.
5. Northwest Assistance Ministries in the amount of $48,029.
6. Precinct2gether, Inc. in the amount of $7,127.00.
Expected Impact:
Approval of the agreements will allow for the provision of nutritious meals to homebound persons (seniors and disabled) in Harris County. The total cost of the agreements is $181,105.00 funded with General Funds.
