Background and Discussion:

Our Project Lifesaver program remains an essential resource in ensuring the safety and security

of vulnerable community members who are prone to wandering due to conditions such as autism,

Alzheimer’s, or other cognitive impairments. Currently, we have 148 active clients equipped with

transmitters. Unfortunately, our inventory has dwindled to just 20 remaining devices, while we

face a growing waiting list of over 60 potential clients who urgently need this life-saving

technology. Given the program’s vital role in reuniting at-risk individuals with their loved ones and reducing

the need for extensive search and rescue operations, securing additional transmitters is a priority.

With support from the Foundation, we can continue to meet the increasing demand and uphold

the mission of enhancing community safety

Expected Impact:

The purchase of these 40 transmitters will enable us to equip 40 new clients with this vital technology. Their families will gain peace of mind knowing their loved ones have a transmitter that can be used by our agency to locate them in case they wander and put themselves at risk.
