Background and Discussion:
Pavement surface on Sam Houston Tollway North is due for maintenance in the section that was installed in 2019. The existing surface is an asphalt Permeable Friction Course (PFC) which currently has a 5-8 year life cycle and is beginning to show signs of delamination.
