Background and Discussion:

Utility services including adjustments and coordination efforts are a major part of project development for some Flood Control District projects. The Flood Control District requests a Utility Coordination agreement to assist with projects requiring utility engineering and related efforts in the Flood Control District’s jurisdiction. Utility adjustments and related services for the Flood Control District are crucial and benefit the Flood Control District in support of ongoing and future projects to locate and relocate utilities when necessary.

Expected Impact:

Utility adjustments and related services allow for ongoing and future project operations to run efficiently and help meet project schedules.  Allowing this agreement will accommodate projects needing immediate resolution in utility adjustment efforts.

Alternative Options:

The alternative to approval of this request is to either submit a request for another consultant, which would delay the effort, or for Flood Control staff to perform the effort, which would take staff away from other efforts.
