Background and Discussion:
In November 2023, Commissioners Court approved a contract with Street Art for Mankind, authorizing the creation and installation of up to five murals on County-owned facilities in Houston’s Central Business District, as well as funding for ancillary unanticipated installation costs. Precinct One now proposes to extend the murals program into neighborhoods; to do so, the contract is to be amended to provide for up to six murals on County-owned facilities and additional funds for ancillary unanticipated installation costs.
