Background and Discussion:
Harris County Precinct One Administration Office and Service Center is a new two-story, approximately 37,000 sf building located at 2787 El Camino Street. The building will house the administrative leadership departments that serve the needs of the surrounding Harris County Precinct One community, and a well-equipped Multi-purpose Center that will accommodate the needs of the Precinct and its constituents.
The County executed an agreement for Professional Architecture Services with Harrison Kornberg Architects, LLC on August 27, 2019, and seeks to amend the agreement for a second time. This amendment will facilitate revisions of various areas to accommodate human resources, communications, and administrative departments.
Expected Impact:
This action will allow the firm to incorporate the necessary design revisions to update the project.
Alternative Options:
The alternative is not to accept the revisions, and the plans for the project will proceed per the current contract agreement.
