Background and Discussion:

The Equity Intelligence Platform (EIP) is an open-source, web-based system that will enable City, County, and School Districts to understand and support the improvement of holistic outcomes for individuals living in our community through mutual data-sharing, analysis and data science. This Platform will help with answering big questions, such as whether programs (health, educational, criminal justice, or related programs) are addressing a local problem or whether a need is going unmet. Additional data metrics and policy areas could be considered for evaluation as the Platform evolves.

Expected Impact:

By mapping Harris County, City of Houston, and school district data, the EIP can provide policymakers and service providers with metrics to confirm the successes of existing programs, to help identify gaps in services or systems, and to support the development of new relevant and impactful systems and policies. As the Platform grows over time; analyses will produce more robust findings.
