Background and Discussion:

This project is in Persistent Poverty and Opportunity Zone, the inequities have compounded and created accessibility issues, increased blight, health disparities, public safety concerns, and broad socio-economic deficits. Through infrastructure improvements and beautification efforts, the goal is to position Sunnyside to experience a resurgence as a safe, thriving community that attracts additional public and private investment to the area.

Expected Impact:

The expected impact of direct investments in infrastructure and beautification will foster a sense of pride and elevate the identity and economic appeal of Sunnyside Redevelopment Authority.

Alternative Options:

The alternative option for this proposal would be denial of this project which may keep the infrastructure and the development as it is.
