Background and Discussion:
The first Interlocal Agreement between Harris County and City of Galveston was entered in January, 2017 to provide transportation services to elderly and disabled clients on Galveston island in coordination with Island Transit. A new Master Agreement was entered into July 25, 2024 with same terms and conditions with a dollar amount of $400,000 and one year term and 4 renewals. This is the exercise of the 2nd renewal of that agreement. All program costs are covered by The City of Galveston and the City pays fifteen percent service delivery fee to the County. There is no cost to the County.
Expected Impact:
Continued coordination of transportation services for the region.
Alternative Options: Duplication of services for the region.
