Background and Discussion:
Per the agreement and amendment, Harris County agreed to contribute up to a maximum of $1,730,000 for the reconstruction of Lockwood Road from the UPRR crossing to Beltway 8. The project was awarded in the amount of $2,322,359.83 in 2020. The construction contract difference paid by McCord to Harris County was $592,359.83. Due to utility conflict issues, the construction contact was ultimately cancelled in 2023.
Expected Impact:
This action will terminate the agreement and allow Harris County to refund McCord in the amount of $592,359.83.
