Request Summary (Agenda Caption):

title

Request by the Sheriff’s Office for approval to rollover the balances for the Auto Theft Federal Funds and the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Grant Program Income Funds in the amount of $30,000.06 from the FY 2024-2025 grant year into the FY 2025-2026 grant year.

end

Background and Discussion:

MVCPA requires that the unexpended grant program income balance be rolled over from grant year to grant year. This action will rollover the unexpended balances of the Auto Theft Federal Funds and the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Grant Program Income Funds from the 2024-2025 grant year PeopleSoft coding to GY25 and subsequently to the current 2025-2026 grant year PeopleSoft coding.

Expected Impact:

There is no fiscal impact to the county budget.  These are unexpended Auto Theft’s federal funds and grant program income balances that need to be rolled over from the former grant year’s PeopleSoft coding to the new grant year’s PeopleSoft coding.

Alternative Options:

These funds have to be rolled over into the new grant year.
