Background and Discussion:

On September 27, 2022, Harris County entered into an agreement (the “Contract”) with CivilTech Engineering Inc. to provide professional engineering service as part of the implementation of the All-Electronic Tolling program, the Toll Road Authority (TRA) intends to enlist the professional services of qualified engineers to provide engineering and planning services required to provide corridor and area-wide H&H analysis. The work to be performed by the engineers consists of preparing H&H studies and reports to support the proposed improvements within the Harris County Toll Road countywide now desires to assign the remainder of the Contract to Woolpert Inc.  There has been no change in control or ownership, this is only a change of legal name as evidenced by the letter from Woolpert Inc.

 

Expected Impact:

Approval would enable HCTRA to continue the services provided under the existing agreement.

 

Alternative Options:

If the consent to assignment is not approved, HCTRA will not be able to continue work under the agreement.
