title

Transmittal by Human Resources and Talent to report that two additional voluntary payroll deduction codes were established for the Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas (CLEAT), a non-profit labor organization.

end

Background and Discussion:

In March 1993, Commissioner’s Court approved the establishment of an employee voluntary payroll

deduction for Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas.  The two additional voluntary payroll deduction codes will be set up in accordance with Harris County Auditor Procedure L.2-6.

Expected Impact:

According to Local Government Code §155.001 and Harris County Auditor Procedure L.2-6, public funds may

not be used to pay the administrative costs of making a deduction; therefore, there is no financial impact to

the County since administrative costs will be paid by Combined Law Enforcement Association of Texas.
