Background and Discussion:

This project is located in northwest Harris County in the Cypress Creek watershed. Coles Crossing consists of a curb and gutter storm sewer drainage system that drains to either Dry Creek on the west side or to interior channels on the east side of the subdivision. The scope and proposed improvements that were recommended during the planning study of this project will be reevaluated based on current data and data received from the Coles Crossing community. Improvements will comply with Harris County standards.

Expected Impact:

In implementing the proposed drainage improvements, this project seeks to reduce structural flood risk and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to the homes in the community. This will reduce the financial, physical, and emotional burden flood damage placed on homeowners and will reduce the financial impact costs to the homeowners, Harris County, and FEMA.
