Background and Discussion:

This amendment will the Flood Control District access to aerial imagery acquired for areas impacted by the May Storm event that caused flooding along the east and west forks of the San Jacinto River. This amendment will allow the Flood Control District to acquire the imagery and share it with the County, HCAD, the City of Houston and H-GAC, allowing the imagery to be used to respond to this federally declared disaster event. EagleView was given authorization by the County to acquire the data and the flight has taken place.

Expected Impact:

This imagery will allow the Flood Control District to imagery of the impacted area after the event. It will aid the Flood Control District in identifying debris and damages to the channels caused by the event by comparing it to the imagery captured by EagleView in December 2023 - January 2024.

Alternative Options:

No alternative options are available to acquire post event imagery at this time.
