Background and Discussion:

Deputy Director Drainage

This position contributes to advancing OCRE’s infrastructure priorities, primarily with the Harris County Flood Control District, by aligning capital project delivery with policy goals, ensuring transparency and accountability across external agencies, and bridging the gap between OCRE’s internal policy and engineering teams.

 Deputy Director Drainage

Provide strategic oversight on engineering and capital projects that impact OCRE-particularly those led by the Office of the County Engineer (HCED), Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), and Harris County Toll Road Authority (HCTRA)-to ensure they are planned and implemented in a manner that is equitable across historically disadvantaged communities, resilient in design, community-responsive, and technically sound.
