Request by the Office of the County Engineer to allow the process for the revision of the subdivision plat entitled BINFORD CREEK SEC 5 to proceed and that Commissioners Court hold a public hearing for the proposed plat under Local Government Code 232.009(c-1), Precinct 4.

Background and Discussion:
Pursuant to a Court Letter dated April 16th, 2026, confirming the determination that said replat does not affect a public interest or public property of any type, including but not limited to, a park, school or road and establishing June 11th, 2026 as the necessary public meeting for discussion of the proposed replat in accordance with Local Government Code 232.009(c-1).
If it meets with the approval of Commissioners Court, it is recommended that the revision to the subdivision plat entitled BINFORD CREEK SEC 5 be approved as requested and as described in the attached Court Order. If this request is granted, please submit a certified copy of the Court Order to this office for further processing.
This court letter and associated procedure has been reviewed and approved by the County Attorney’s Office as necessary and appropriate.
Expected Impact:
This plat has been reviewed by the Harris County Engineering Department and the applicant has completed all statutory and Harris County requirements. The County Engineer recommends the approval of this plat in accordance with TX Local Government Code 232.002 which states the Commissioners’ Court must approve plats in unincorporated areas of Harris County before it can be filed with the County Clerk.
Alternative Options:
Should Commissioners’ Court elect not approve this plat, a written statement detailing the reasons for disapproval per TX Local Government Code 232.0028 will be required. This statement must include a citation to the law, including statute or order that is the basis of the disapproval; and may not be arbitrary
