Background and Discussion:
Request for approval of a contract with Info-Tech Research Group to provide IT Research and Advisory Services which includes organization structure, operational process for IT, applications, new hardware and software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, etc.
Expected Impact:
Info-Tech’s services shall include but not be limited to:
1) Expertise on pre-contract awards and competitive pricing, vendor negotiations and support/guidance for large contracts that will result in savings for the County.
2) Education for our work force and improving the knowledge base.
3) Providing best practices in operational areas such as project management.
Alternative Options:
This contract would augment Universal Services’ existing resources by providing research and analysis to the entire organization which would be too costly to build in house by Universal Services.
