Background and Discussion:

Harris County intends to provide improvements to Telge Road which will include 5-ft sidewalks on both sides of the street. Telge Road has an established ROW width of 120' throughout much of the project except for the area adjacent to Telge Ranch Section 1, which is only 109' ROW. Telge Ranch Section 1 includes an adjacent undeveloped 10-ft utility easement where we would like to construct the sidewalk. This would allow the sidewalk to be located away from the curb. The area appears to still be owned by the developers.

 

Expected Impact:

Sidewalk easements will allow the sidewalk to be located away from the curb and provide a desired separation from the street and the sidewalk.

 

Alternative Options:

Not acquiring the sidewalk easements will result in the sidewalk being located adjacent to the curb which is not desired.
