Background and Discussion:
The Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) Maintenance Rodeo is an event where parks and recreation agencies from around the state of Texas come together for competitions among their respective maintenance team members that allow them to highlight their skills and win awards. This event also serves to provide educational information and experience for parks professionals. Maintenance Rodeo events include a zero-turn mower obstacles course, plant identification, nail-driving, a truck and trailer pull competition, and irrigation assembly. The event will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 5:00 am - 7:00 pm.
Expected Impact:
The Maintenance Rodeo will give Precinct One employees the chance to meet with their colleagues from across the state, hone skills, and increase collaboration.
