Background and Discussion:
Vendor to provide printed EZ TAG Kit materials, EZ Tag maps, related items, and other printed items for the
Harris County Toll Road Authority.
Expected Impact:
Applications to facilitate opening an EZ TAG account, and informational kits provided with new EZ TAG orders,
including installation instructions, EZ TAG account user agreement outlining terms and conditions, providing
transparency to users on how to use transponders and maintain all-electronic tolling accounts, the most
efficient and cost-effective payment method on the county’s toll road system. While the agency offers an
online account creation process, many communities prefer printed applications.
Alternative Options:
Many of these printed materials are provided and available online to new users who sign up via hctra.org,
however, the printed option is made available to include communities more comfortable doing business in an
EZ TAG store than online.
