Background and Discussion:

Harris County Public Health Services is seeking approval to renew temporary staffing contract 230400 Glitra Inc. and Synergy Staffing, Inc. These vendors provide temporary staff to support programs while permanent full-time positions are being recruited and filled. The contract allows Public Health Services to quickly address staffing gaps, maintain operations during vacancies, and respond to hiring challenges. Maintaining this contract also ensures the department is prepared to rapidly increase staffing during emergencies or disaster response efforts.

Expected Impact:

Renewing the temporary staffing contract will help prevent service disruptions when positions remain vacant and will support continuity of operations during routine staffing gaps. Without access to temporary staff, programs could experience reduced capacity, delays in services, and increased strain on existing staff. This contract also provides the ability to quickly ramp up staffing during disasters or public health emergencies, ensuring services remain available when demand increases.
