Background and Discussion:

The Brandywine Oaks Subdivision is part of the larger Emerald Forest projects. The subdivision in existing condition has no drainage system and currently operates with dirt roads that fail to allow access during rain events as they get too muddy and flooded to allow vehicles to pass through. The subdivision requires asphalt roads to allow the required access as well as underground storm sewer through reinforced concrete boxes to tie into the overall Emerald Forest drainage system at the Cypress Place Phase 1 project outfall. The main road, Cypress Trail, will also receive sidewalks. Once these improvements are complete, access will be available during storm events and there will be a reduction to structural flooding.

Fiscal Impact:

A total of $42,823.00 is being requested by HCFCD through the 2018 bond program to fund the Construction Phase Services of this project. This subdivision was identified by the Recovery and Resiliency Division as one of the Subdivision Drainage Improvement projects that would require 2018 bond program funding.
