Request for approval to execute an agreement with Teleport Communications America, LLC for relocation of utility construction services for the State Highway SH 225 / Sam Houston Tollway East Interchange Construction Project in the amount of $78,570.17 (Precinct 2, MWBE Contracted Goal: 32%).

Background and Discussion:
On August 8, 2024, Commissioners Court approved the low bid award for the construction of the first four direct connectors of the State Highway 225 / Sam Houston Tollway East Interchange Construction Project.
The proposed adjustments will replace / relocate existing Teleport Communications America LLC, facilities that conflict with SH 225 / Sam Houston Tollway East Interchange Construction Project. The relocation includes underground and overhead line facilities.
After completion of the construction services, if the estimated cost is less than the estimated amount, Teleport Communications America LLC will refund or credit the difference. If actual cost of the construction services is more than the estimated cost, Teleport Communications America LLC, will invoice the difference which would require a future Court action.
Expected Impact:
The Agreement allows Teleport Communications America LLC, to expedite the underground and overhead line adjustments, minimizing the risk of construction delays for the Project.
