Background and Discussion:

The Pine Trails Subdivision project is located in Northeast Harris County in Precinct 2. The scope of work for this utility agreement includes Harris County’s installation of a 36” reinforced concrete pipe within Equistar’s easement. This agreement will allow Harris County to perform the installation work.

Expected Impact:

This project generally seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the community. This utility agreement specifically will allow Harris County to install a 36” reinforced concrete pipe to direct flow from the subdivision into the detention basin. No impact to project schedule or staffing anticipated.

Alternative Options:

Alternative options would include redesign of the project to avoid the easement or abandonment of the project.
