title

Request by the Sheriff’s Office for approval of an amendment to an agreement with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles to rollover the unexpended balances in the amount of $90,652 for the Auto Theft Federal Funds and the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) Grant Program Income Funds from the 2022-2023 grant year into the 2023-2024 grant year.

end

Background and Discussion:

MVCPA requires that the unexpended grant program income balance be rolled over from grant year to grant year.

Expected Impact:

There is no fiscal impact to the county budget.  These are unexpended Auto Theft’s federal funds and grant program income balances that need to be rolled over from the former grant year’s PeopleSoft coding to the new grant year’s PeopleSoft coding.

Alternative Options:

These funds have to be rolled over into the new grant year.
