Background and Discussion:
The Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant (JAG) Program allows states, tribes, and local governments to support a broard range of activities to promote public safety, reduce crime, and improve the criminal justice system. This is an annual grant from the Office of the Governor, Public Safety Office, Criminal Justice Division. Note: The grant will not likely be funded until August, which should allow enough time for review by the County Attorney’s Office.
