Background and Discussion:
The Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans Assistance Grant enables Harris County Veterans Services to find financial assistance for arrears housing costs, utility costs and vehicle repairs. This is the fifth program year VSD has been awarded the grant.
Expected Impact:
The increased economic stability of veterans in Harris County.
Alternative Options:
Without this grant Harris County would continue to see an increase of financial constraints and rental arrears in its veteran population.
