Background and Discussion:
It is recommended that the Escrow Agreement be approved to allow the Flood Control District to accept $18,000,000 in funds from House Bill 1 to the Flood Control District to provide funding for construction of the Hahl North Stormwater Detention Basin and Conveyance Improvements. This project has also received Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding assistance program providing up to $10,428,000 construction of the project.
Expected Impact:
Establishing this escrow account will allow the Flood Control District access to TWDB awarded grant funds.
Alternative Options:
There are no other options in order to secure these TWDB grant funds. Not approving would prohibit our ability to utilize these grant funds.
