Background and Discussion:

The current facilities at Miller Camp were not constructed to accommodate all vehicles in the OCRE fleet, including buses and heavy equipment. Road and bridge personnel also do not have sufficient or modern workspace. The proposed improvements will include a new facility for fleet maintenance and office space at Miller Road Camp.

Expected Impact:

The proposed improvements will allow the Precinct to be able to maintain vehicles and equipment at a high level and be able to better serve the residents and stakeholders of Precinct 1. The new facility will also benefit the road & bridge camp, personnel, and equipment.

Alternative Options:

There are no alternative options. HC TIRZ #2 is uniquely positioned to deliver this high-need project in a timely fashion to improve service within its boundaries. If not approved, the improvements will be delayed or cancelled.
