Background and Discussion:
Sole Source for EBSCO Publishing Package Subscriptions to Library Aware, Novelist, EDS. The Harris County Public Library (HCPL) utilizes the software providing enriched access to physical and digital library content and works with other EBSCO Software already in place.
Expected Impact:
The approval of the Sole Source will aid HCPL personnel to access to article level database contents within one search and reading recommendation services.
Alternative Options:
These products are sole source because they are able to integrate with our Discovery layer. Even though EBSCO has competitors for some of their other products there is no competitor on the market that is able to integrate with our
searches.
