Background and Discussion:

North Eldridge Parkway from north of Spring Cypress Road to south of Gregson Road a Standard 4-lane concrete boulevard in 100-foot ROW with 32-foot raised median and underground storm sewer system. The southern project limit at Spring Cypress Road requires extending the southbound left turn lane to the standard 250 feet. Include median openings and left turn lanes with 100 feet of storage at Lakewood Hills Drive, Randy Riley Way, and Treetop Hills Lane. North Eldridge Parkway at Gregson Road, A Traffic Signal Warrant Study (TSWS) was conducted in 2015 and a signal is warranted. Design a mast arm signal with related pedestrian appurtenances and include 150 feet of storage in both left turn lanes. Construct a 5-foot-wide sidewalk along the North Eldridge Parkway west ROW from Spring Cypress Road to the existing sidewalk approximately 280 feet south of Westlock Drive and along the North Eldridge Parkway east ROW from Spring Cypress Road to Lakewood Hills Drive and from Gregson Road to the existing sidewalk approximately 230 feet south of Westlock Drive. Detention basin is required for mitigation. The geometry of a basin will follow HCFCD design criteria and have 4:1 or flatter side slopes. Property acquisition is required to construction detention basin.

Expected Impact:

The project will address current and future traffic volumes, reduce delays, and provide safe mobility for residents, pedestrians, and drivers.
