Background and Discussion:

This Amendment No. 3 will provide staff augmentation services at the Flood Control District. Since fall of 2020, Ascend Consulting and Engineering has project management services as well as staff augmentation services for the Partnerships & Programs and Engineering Divisions. Ascend Consulting and Engineering is certified as a W/DBE with the City of Houston and as a historically Underutilized Business with the State of Texas.

Expected Impact:

This amendment is for additional $997,200 which will be funded out of the Flood Control District’s Operations and Maintenance funds.

Alternative Options:

The alternative to this agreement approved is that we will need to seek another consultant for this effort to be performed which will cause delays in project delivery.
