Background and Discussion:

Harris County and the City of Houston find that it is in their best interests to submit a single, joint application to the United States Department of Justice for funding through the Fiscal Year 2024 JAG.  The City of Houston agrees to serve as the applicant/fiscal agent for this grant.

Expected Impact:

Grant funds will be used by the Sheriff’s Office to purchase necessary equipment and to fund overtime costs.  The Constables will receive 25% of the grant amount for equipment.
