Background and Discussion:
The project is located in the Western Homes Subdivision which is in the Halls Bayou Watershed. The proposed improvements include installation of a new storm sewer system, roadway paving, driveway paving, widening and regrading of existing roadside ditches, and detention pond improvements.
The Change in contract is needed to reconcile the overrunning item with the underrunning items and adding a new line item to the contract. Below is a summary of changes:
• Reinforced concrete walkways: Added new line item # 115 - Reinforced Concrete walkways and line item #116 - Replacement of chain link fence for an additional cost in the amount of $18,913.67 and 10 calendar days.
• Quantity Adjustment: The line items are adjusted to reconcile overrun and underrun quantities on the project. The increase of quantities on Modified type A inlets, reinforced concrete slope paving, stabilized construction access, Hydro mulch seeding in the neighborhood, temporary driveways, concrete collars at pipes and replacement of chain link fence (items 49, 51, 74, 86, 91, 95, 113) for an addition in the amount of $116,772.80. The decrease of quantities on underrun line items (Items 43, 45, 104, and 105) for a deduction in the amount of $135,686.47.
• The above additions and deductions result in a net change in the amount of $0.00 and 10 calendar days.
