Background and Discussion:
Background and Discussion: Dula Lane is located in the northwest Harris County, partially in both White Oak Bayou and Cypress Creek watersheds, in Harris County Precinct 3. The project limits start at the dead end of Dula Ln to the south to the intersection of Dula Ln and Cypress North Houston Road to the north. The proposed roadway will provide access to the Bernadine Estates subdivision detention basin at the southern end of the project limits.
Expected Impact:
This agreement will allow the firm to conduct field and laboratory testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and various other construction materials to ensure the material’s compliance with Harris County Engineering Department’s adopted standards and specifications as required by state law.
Alternative Options:
Construction materials testing is required by state law. Thus, alternatives include issuing a purchase order for similar services to a different vendor or cancelling this construction project.
