Background and Discussion:

This Federal Detention Basin located on 138 acres of HCFCD owned land is part of a larger effort to mitigate food control within the area along Greens Bayou and Harris County. At the top of bank, there is ample room for amenities, which can include trails, trees, benches, and trash receptacles.  This loop trail can serve as a point of interest and a link along the South side of Greens Bayou between the Eastern and Western portions of the district.

Expected Impact:

This sidewalk will enhance the safety, health, and wellbeing of the residents in that neighborhood.

Alternative Options: The alternative option for this proposal would be to determine other funding or to complete these items in house. Denial of the request will delay community benefits.
