Background and Discussion:
Fellowship of Purpose Senior Saints 3K Cancer Walk. Participants are encouraged to donate to the fundraiser but not required. Event starts at 8:00am and ends at 1:30pm on 10/04/2025. Elaine Barrett is the Event Coordinator. Linda McKinzy is the Co-Event Coordinator.
Expected Impact:
Expecting 60 guests. Set-up is 7:00am to 8:00am on 10/04/2025. Event is 8:00am to 1:30pm on 10/04/2025. Breakdown is expected to be completed by 1:30pm on 10/04/2025. The event will take place at Jim and JoAnn Fonteno Family Park and will use the grassy area, sidewalks, trials, and the parking lot. There will be tables set up for registration. There will be tables with brochures and handouts to bring awareness to thyroid, kidney, colon, liver, breast and lung cancer to encourage early detection screening and treatment. Music amplified with speakers will be present for warm-up exercises. Additional tables and pop-up canopies will be set up along the course with free healthy snacks and water. The event will have additional volunteers. There will be banners present.
