Background and Discussion:

The Harris County Toll Road Authority’s (HCTRA) mission is to responsibly operate and maintain a safe, reliable, sustainable, and evolving mobility system that meets the diverse connectivity needs of all Harris County residents. This Intelligent Transportation Systems contract will repair, replace, and maintain HCTRA fiber network, fiber optic cable locates, and Dynamic Message Signs around HCTRA’s roadway system.

Expected Impact:

This contract will ensure that all roadway devices and communications are maintained for toll road patrons, government agencies, and the media.

Alternative Options:

There is no other option. Re-bidding the contract will result in DMS signs and fiber not having maintenance, and no fiber locating services available.
