Background and Discussion:
The project is located in northwest Harris County in the White Oak Bayou watershed. Bernadine subdivision improvements consist of roadside ditches that drain into HCFCD channel E132-00-00. The scope and proposed improvements are to regrade roadside ditches, install a storm sewer system under the ditches, upsize culverts, and reconstruct roadways within the neighborhood. A detention pond will be constructed to mitigate within the project limits. Improvements will comply with Harris County standards.
The change in contract includes the following:
Quantity Adjustment Final Numbers: The line items are adjusted to reconcile overrun and underrun quantities on the project for completion of the proposed scope of work.
- The increase of quantities on overrun line-item numbers 56 and 96 for an addition in the amount of $730.00.
- The decrease in quantities on underrun line-item numbers 2, 32 and 39 for a deduction in the amount of $30,030.00.
The above additions and deductions result in a net change in the amount of -$29,300.00.
Expected Impact:
This project seeks to reduce flooding and strengthen resiliency in Harris County by assisting in the alleviation of structural flood damage to homes in the Bernadine Estates & Tower Oaks Sec 3 subdivision.
Alternative Options:
The County could elect to fund the requested task or choose to reject it. However, if not approved, the contractor will not be compensated for completing the scope of work.
