Background and Discussion:
The dental panoramic x-ray machines will enhance oral health services at three brick-and-mortar clinic locations. These machines will provide a view of the entire oral cavity and related structures, enhancing diagnostic capabilities and treatment planning. Benco Dental Supply Co. will source, procure, and deliver one x-ray unit for each clinic, ensuring compatibility with Dentrix EDR and DEXIS digital x-ray software. Additionally, they will offer technical support and responsive customer service, ultimately improving patient care and outcomes.
Expected Impact:
Panoramic x-rays provide a comprehensive view of the entire mouth in one image which allows the dentist to identify oral conditions which may go undetected otherwise. The use of panoramic x-rays will improve oral health by improving diagnostic capabilities of our clinicians, facilitating early intervention, and promoting oral health education. As a best practice, the panoramic x-rays will increase the efficiency of care coordination with local communities, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders. The impact of these machines is significant, positively influencing the health and well-being of individuals and families within our community.
