Background and Discussion:
Project includes Repair of Bridge and Guardrails in Various Locations in Harris County Precinct 2. The Precinct has requested for new bid items be added to the contract. Change includes adding bid Item #45, 46, 47 and 48:
1- Item 45 - Remove and replace Flex Beam Guardrail (10 gauge) with Mowing Strip - $140.00/LF
2- Item 46 - Remove and replace Flex Beam Guardrail (10 gauge) without Mowing Strip - $137.50/LF.
3- Item 47 - Furnish and install Flex Beam Guardrail (10 gauge) with Mowing Strip - $100.00/LF.
4- Item 48 - Furnish and install Flex Beam Guardrail (10 gauge) without Mowing Strip - $95.00/LF.
All missing in the current bid. The new bid item is only to establish the unit price and there is no change to the contract amount.
Expected Impact:
Change allows the contractor to comply with environmental requirements and respond to emergency calls within 6 hours.
