Background and Discussion:
Traffic signals are installed to improve the operations of an intersection and better facilitate pedestrian activities. As such, the consultant will be tasked with the signal design of the intersection and an evaluation of left turn lane storage to improve operations. The consultant will also be tasked with evaluating pedestrian accessibility through the provision of crosswalks and associated median nose opening adjustments required to facilitate pedestrian activities.
Expected Impact:
Designing and rebuilding the traffic signal at this intersection will improve operations and better facilitate pedestrian activities.

An alternative is to not rebuild the signal at the intersection, which will not improve operational improvement and pedestrian benefits.
