Background and Discussion:
Project included the construction Mound Road Extension from Greenhouse to Cypress Drive. This project extends Mound Road past the intersection with Greenhouse Road to 0.86 miles east of Greenhouse Road. Starting at Greenhouse Road, a 4-lane concrete pavement section with a grass median will be constructed. The pavement section will then transition to a 41-foot-wide concrete section for the remaining portion of
the project.
The change in contract includes the following:
• Concrete Pump 200’ Hose $2,684.00
• Precast Concrete Manhole 4’ Diameter $7,184.88
• Precast Concrete Manhole 5’ Diameter $8,898.48
• Inlet Protection Barrier Stage 1 $1,337.76
• Temporary Message Sign Board and New Pattern Sign $13,556.95
• The final adjustment (reconciliation of actual quantities used in construction against the bid quantities) $46,561.39.
Expected Impact:
Change allows unused funds to be returned to Harris County and allows the Contractor to be compensated.
