Background and Discussion:
Construct the remaining two eastbound lanes of four lane boulevard with asphalt pavement and monolithic concrete curb and gutter. Mill and overlay existing the existing westbound lanes. Construct a two- lane westbound bridge over Gum Gully. The amendment includes separating the project into two phases.
Conduct the study and design of a standard four (4) lane concrete boulevard. The goal of studying and designing South Diamondhead Blvd, from 500-ft West of Sea Palms Dr. to West of Boom Dr., is to expand the existing 2-lane half-boulevard roadway to a 4-lane concrete full boulevard and improve mobility in the area.
