Background and Discussion:

Property Boundary Vegetation Removal and Pruning for the Harris County Flood Control District provides removal of vegetation growing along property boundaries and fence lines that exceed quantities and specification limits in the Full-Service Mowing contracts.

Expected Impact:

Vegetation growing along fence lines can become a nuisance for citizens that have property adjoining the District’s.  Mowing contractors are required to cut vegetation growing on property boundary lines but much of the work identified exceeds those contract quantities and the vegetation may be beyond the specification for mower removal.

Alternative Options:

An alternative option would be to eliminate the contract and have the services limited to in-house and full-service contract operational capacities.
