Background and Discussion:

The 2025 THRIVE Small Business Summit is a premier event for the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce. The second annual event will allow DEEO to connect with a diverse audience of small business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. The event will feature many expo booths, facilitating valuable interactions and learning opportunities.

Expected Impact:

This event will provide an excellent opportunity for community engagement. Attending and sponsoring the THRIVE Small Business Summit will allow DEEO to contribute to and support the members of the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce and local M/WBE’s by providing information about our programs and services. This involvement will facilitate connections with local businesses and support their economic growth.

Alternative Options:

Commissioners Court can choose not to approve this sponsorship; failure to approve it will impact DEEO’s ability to engage with this community of businesses and leaders.
